Lake Sebago - Diamond Mountain

Total Distance: 7.6 miles
Difficulty: moderate (1,300'+ total elevation gain)
Estimated hiking time: 4+ hours

From the entrance to the Lake Sebago Boat Launch parking area, go across Seven Lakes Drive to where the Seven Hills trail (blue blazes) starts. Take the Seven Hills trail until you reach the Buck trail (yellow blazes) on the left. Make a left onto the Buck trail. The Buck trail will eventually intersect on the left a northern segment of the Buck trail which is blazed yellow with a black stripe. Ignore this segment and continue on the yellow (only) Buck trail. The Buck trail ends at a road. Cross that road and proceed straight until the second road which is very close to the first road (just yards past the first road). Make a right onto this (second) road.

Go a short distance until you reach the Tuxedo-Mount Ivy trail (TMI, red blazes). Make a right onto the TMI trail. Take the TMI until you intersect the Seven Hills trail.

Make a left onto the Seven Hills trail and take it until you intersect the Diamond Mountain Tower trail (yellow blazes). Make a left onto the Diamond Mountain Tower trail. When the Diamond Mountain Tower trail intersects the Pine Meadow trail (red blazes) go straight (do not make a left) onto the Pine Meadow trail.

At some point there will be a stream on the left and a wooden bridge across it (do not cross the bridge!). In the area of the bridge you will go (straight or to the right) onto the Seven Hills (blue blazes) and the Kakiat (white blazes) trails which will be combined for a short while. When they split (not a well marked turn!) make a right to stay on the Seven Hills trail and take it back to Seven Lakes Drive (and the parking area across the road).
